Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) has its foundations on the interfaces and interactions between electronic devices and the users that rely upon them. That will ultimately lead to the creation of tomorrow’s new user interface software and technology. The study and practice of designing these interactions transforms the human-computer interaction experience, so the computer is no longer a distracting focus of attention but rather an invisible tool that empowers the individual user and facilitates natural and productive human-to-human collaboration. HCI topics include, but are not limited to, novel uses of computer technologies in education; intelligent interfaces; virtual and augmented reality environments; wearable mobile and ubiquitous computing; and new I/O devices.
